RCA News

Richland County Alumnae participated in the Gun Issues Special Committee Public Hearing by SC Senate on Thursday, October 27th . Chapter President Soror Sharon Parker spoke at the hearing regarding the prevention of gun violence and reiterated the National Social Action statement on Gun Reform. Soror Alana Simmons spoke on behalf of her family in support of laws to prevent gun violence. Soror Simmons is the granddaughter of Rev. Daniel Simmons, Sr. who was a victim in the Charleston 9 shooting.  Watch Channel 10 News clip here.

Greetings! On behalf of the officers and members, I welcome you to the website of the Richland County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. It gives me great pleasure to serve as the 10th president of these phenomenal women and to share valuable information about our chapter.

The Richland County Alumnae Chapter (RCA) was chartered on April 24, 1994 and for over 20 years we remain steadfast and devoted to serving in the Richland, Lexington, and Fairfield counties. We are committed to embracing the vision of our 22 Founders by providing service based programs that support our sorority's Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

Economic Development
Educational Development
International Awareness and Involvement
Physical and Mental Health
Political Awareness and Involvement
